Moody Blog Hop....

....Welcome to another Paper Makeup Stamps Blog Hop!

You should have come to me from the lovely Dawn W.'s blog.
Hopping in order is key to collecting your letters that spell out a phrase to give you an extra 15% off any order this week!
If you're just starting the hop, please start at the Paper Makeup Stamps Blog.

Today is our RELEASE DAY!

Whoo-hoo! All the stamps you've been admiring on the PMS Blog will FINALLY be available for purchase tonight...including our beautiful charity stamp for the Anderson Family:

Our beloved stamping friend, Sarah Anderson's son Henry passed away on Monday.

Henry was 3 years old. He developed a fever on friday and his litle body couldnt fit off whatever took over him. The family still doesnt know the cause.
Please continue to pray for Sarah and her husband, and Henry's little brother Jack and all the friends and family of the Anderson's as they go through this incredibly difficult time.
Henry loved the zoo, he loved being outdoors, he loved the snow, comic books, Starwars. He was a fun loving 3 year old little guy.
It is our honor to release, Henry. A fairy playing in the snow and making a snow angel for his mama.

$2.50 from each sale of this stamp (whether in it's digi form, which is the cost of stamp minus the paypal fees) or in it's rubber form, will go directly to the Anderson family. This will help to build the memorial at the zoo or for any other means the family needs it to keep little Henry's memory alive and well for his little brother Jack.

And here is my card for today's hop, using my favorite stamp of the new release....the Moody For Fashion.

She really fits the *mood* I've been in the past month or so. I SO enjoyed coloring her beautiful outfit. I think she looks like a cameo pin, and that was how I tried to feature her on my card.

Be sure to join us at our Release Party at the forum for prizes, challenges and discounts!

Now, the info you need!

Monsters, Monsters....

....Everywhere!

Have you been enjoying our Paper Makeup Stamps Sneak Peek Week (longest title ever!) so far?

We've shown you brand new Moodies and a Thank You set and now, it's on to one of my personal favorite categories - Monsters!!

Here is my little guy, Nole. The expression on his face us just priceless :o)

I know it's really hard to tell in the photo, but I used a tiny bit of Crystal Effects on the bulbs to make them look more real AND I used a silver pen on the sockets.

I hope you are all getting excited for our monthly release on the 7th. I know the rest of the design team is anxious to show off our new FAIRIES tomorrow and participate in the Blog Hop as well.

Check back tomorrow!

Little Brother's...

....Day of Birth!

Ahhh, I feel like it was just yesterday I was trying to lock my sweet little brother in the closet and suffocate him. Or the time I tricked him into getting out of my car in 30 degree weather at the post office and then left him to walk home. Or the time I nearly broke his nose with my Cabbage Patch doll...

I feel like just last year, we celebrated his epic 21st birthday....

(Yes, that is my little brother passed out in his South Park underwear. Yes, we were responsible. Yes, he was drunk. But he asked for it! And no, he would not be embarrassed that I posted this picture on my blog. Trust me, my brother does not get embarrassed.)

But alas, he is no longer a child. Or 21. He turned 23 last week and as always, I made him a card and sent him some cookies and gifts. I love that kid to death. God only gave me one brother, but that was all I needed. He and I are like bees and honey.

So...I had to make a sweet card for my sweet baby brother, right? I used all his favorite colors and really took my time with layering. That cupcake from Sprinkles and Cherries just looks so fluffy and....yummy.
I hope he loves it as much as I love him. Happy 23rd Birthday, Austin!

Trick Or Treat!

...so, I hope you all had a WONDERFUL Halloween.
Ours was crazy, to say the least. 6 parents, 8 kids. It was loud, out of control and of course...a ton of fun. I am so thankful to finally have some real friends here in Oklahoma who I get along with, our kids get along, and the husbands get along as well.

We walked four miles on Halloween, and came home with way too much candy. Then men stayed here and watched the game (Hook 'Em!) and grilled us all some dinner. Then the kids all ran upstairs (with candy hidden ALL in their pockets!) while the ladies had some alcoholic beverages and talked about....well, girl stuff. Ha ha!
Here are the kids...most of them anyway:
Left to Right: Callie (ballerina), Brendan (Dracula), My Natalie (kitty cat), McKayla (witch), My Colin (Optimus Prime) and Keller (dinosaur).
And as promised, more photos of the little treat bags I made for Callie, McKayla and Natalie. I already showed you Nat's, so here is Call's:

And McKayla's:

I used Marissa the Ballerina Fairy for Callie's little treat box and the Tooth Fairy (I put a pumpkin sticker over the tooth) for McKayla's. I also used our Spooky Sentiments...they are so much fun to color :o)
You STILL have time to get into the Makeup For the Weekend fun. Check out this blog post over at our PMS Blog for more details.
Have a lovely night ladies...stay away from all those werewolves, it's a full moon out tonight!

Makeup For The Weekend...

....Spooky Style!
Our challenge for this weekend over at Paper Makeup Stamps is to create a treat bag/box! This worked out perfectly for me, as I was going to whip some up anyway. My little girl is having a little Halloween party this weekend; she invited her two best friends Callie and McKayla and their families (I just so happen to be close friends with their Mommies so it REALLY worked out nicely) over for trick-or-treating and dinner. She is so looking forward to it!

Here is the treat box I made for Natalie:

I used the Melissa Fairy (hehe) since she looks SO much like Natalie...hmm, I wonder why! Now, we all know the Meli Fairy has a book in her hands, but to make her a little Halloweeny I covered her book with a sparkly candy corn. I restamped her arm and after coloring it, cut it out and pasted it so it looks like she's holding the candy. I also (terribly) drew a pair of kitty cat ears on, since that is what Natalie is going to be for Halloween.

I grabbed some spooky patterned paper from Stampin' Up! and added a chipboard "N" along with a little sticker. The little box was white to begin with and I just used some cardstock to jazz it up.

This little quote just fit perfectly with my candy corn theme!

I'll be sure to post the other two boxes tomorrow :o)
We're all looking forward to seeing your treat boxes/bags so be sure to link up at the Paper Makuep Stamps Blog when you're done. Have a wonderful and SAFE Halloween!

A Little Ice Cream....

...for your birthday!

I had to whip up another card for a teacher's birthday this week and I just couldn't resist using cute little Lily. I love her up-do, her trendy skirt and that double scooped ice cream cone!

I am really into my color palette here. I am such a cool tones kinda girl. I had to *resist* using any pink....you'll see that I did give her a scoop of strawberry ice cream :o) I chose some plum colors instead and I am really pleased with the result.
My paper is from Bo Bunny (the flowers) and Basic Gray (the polka dots). I also used some thick silver cardstock (along with my Sizzix machine and circle die) to make my own little tag. I found some coordinating green ribbon in my stash and it just fit perfectly.
Some clear Stickles and four silver brads completed this simple card. I got my sketch from Mojo Monday this week. So easy!

I really encourage you to break out your stamps for the holidays this year. I always give little card sets as gifts to my kids' teachers, my grandma, friends, whatever. They LOVE them. I also try to color the images (like fairies) to kind of match the person I'm giving them to. It's such a personal touch and let me tell you, it's always a gift that people appreciate and treasure.

There's still time to get in on the Makeup for the Weekend challenge! Make sure to upload your ATC to the PMS Blog for a chance to win something special....!
